Your Coach
EXPERIENCED
Having enjoyed a fantastic career as a tenured marketing and management professor, entrepreneur, and small business marketing consultant, I've developed broad experience and informed vision by helping students and clients achieve their personal and professional goals. My mission is to help others identify and overcome internal and external barriers standing in the way of their success.
During my teaching career, I taught upper division courses in marketing, consumer behavior, marketing management, digital marketing, nonprofit marketing, market research, advertising, business communication, business ethics, project management, public relations, writing for public relations, and business law. Along the way, I helped countless students prepare for and embark on successful careers, helped launch a tech-forward online MBA program, and received two teaching excellence awards. I always approached teaching as a mentor and coach and not simply as a purveyor of information and ideas.
I bring to the table hundreds—maybe thousands—of hours of coaching students and clients in starting or marketing new businesses, nailing interviews, landing executive-track jobs, getting into competitive graduate programs, and dealing with various types of crises and personal challenges including loss, betrayal, and addiction. Everyone I work with professionally has a strong sense of how deeply I care for them and their well-being as they pursue and achieve their goals.
PROFESSIONAL
I earned my undergraduate degree in history from Whitman College, a regional ivy league liberal arts college in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I went on to earn graduate degrees in integrated marketing communication (Marist University) and law (University of Florida Levin College of Law), completing summer associateships at two of the top corporate law firms in Orlando, Florida. I completed additional graduate coursework in environmental and natural resource journalism (University of Montana) and am currently pursuing graduate-level training and certification in life, trauma, and addiction coaching under the supervision of a variety of experienced and extensively trained counselors, coaches, and mentors. I'm skilled in coaching, teaching, and encouraging clients with a variety of backgrounds and persuasions—from students to executives—with respect and professionalism.
CARING
I’m an advocate for civility, diplomacy, and respect given rather than respect earned. I have an intense interest in human well-being and am a certified consultant in human rights. I offer compassionate, non-judgmental, science-based coaching support to help you achieve your unique personal and professional goals. I am in your corner and have your back with regard to both success and healing. I've experienced my own losses and personally know the difference between good and bad coaching and counseling support. If I can't help you, I'll assist you in finding someone who can.
Keep breathing, keep learning, keep living.
CONNA BOND, JD/MA
